Butterfly buddies.

May 6, 2013

The past week has been very exciting. Our butterflies emerged from their chrysalis and provided a wealth of learning experiences for the class. We also had the opportunity to visit with the chicks and duckling that recently hatched in Ms. Trawick's classroom.

This week we will review letters and sounds as well as sight words. Please continue to practice sight words ever night. These words will provide a solid foundation for reading skills in first grade.

In math, we are building on number skills with a heavy focus on addition and subtraction skills. Play simple adding and subtracting games at home to reinforce these skills.

Please remember that Tuesday is our Media Center day. Please remind your child to return his or her library book to school on Tuesday.

If you received a notice from the Cafeteria that a balance is due on your child's meal account please pay the amount due as soon as possible.
